Report for August 2008
The Australian Ethical Equities Trust outperformed its benchmark over the month and the quarter to date. Over the month the Trust rose by 6.6%, compared to the benchmark (S&P/ASX Small Industrials Index) which rose by 2.5%. Over the quarter to date the Trust declined by 0.2% to the benchmark's 8.3% decline.|

The above performances are ranked based on the effect within the Trust, rather than on the percentage movement within the price. Thus, Australian Pipeline Trust had a greater effect on the Trust’s performance than Cochlear Ltd due to its larger holding within the Trust. The percentages shown are the individual shares change in price over the course of the month.
Cash available at the end of August was 6.08% from 6.44% in July.
