Eastern Star Gas is involved in the development of conventional and coal seam gas reservoirs in NSW, and in the production of coal seam gas in Victoria. The company is using this gas to generate low greenhouse-gas intensity electricity at their Wilga Park facility. Environmental groups have recognised the importance of natural gas as an alternative to the use of coal to generate electricity.
