$10 000 grant recipient: Engineers Without Borders
Project: improving the curriculum, teaching capacity and graduate success of the Cambodian School of Prosthetic and Orthotics (CSPO)

Engineers Without Borders Australia was first established in April 2003 as an overseas placement network for engineers, setting up an avenue to work with disadvantaged communities and improve their quality of life through education and the implementation of sustainable engineering projects.

EWB has a long-standing relationship with the Cambodian School of Prosthetic and Orthotics (CSPO), and EWB works with the School’s teaching staff and provides volunteers to train students how to prescribe, manufacture and fit artificial limbs and orthopaedic braces. The grant will be used to send more volunteers to CSPO and improve the design, monitoring and evaluation of the program.
